Chalet Uhu is a beautiful, spacious chalet with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
It is situated in a sunny, tranquil area of Saas-Fee, 15 minutes to the village centre, its amenities and the slopes, or why not use the free electric ski bus that stops just outside to get around.
It is a modern chalet – over 200m2 – but full of rustic charm.
Directly on entering the chalet you will find an entrance room with benches and boot warmers, followed by a separate bathroom with shower for family usage or for those using the bunk bedroom.
The second bedroom on this level boasts a queen size bed with a spacious en suite bathroom hosting both bath and shower. There is also a private terrace accessible via the sliding glass doors.
One floor below ground you are welcomed by a wonderful snug; with a bedroom that sleeps three that seconds as a TV/Cinema room with comfortable sofas, as well as a separate kitchen and utility room (with washing machine and drier), it is an excellent space for kids or adults alike.
There is also a toilet and sink on this level.
Chalet Uhu has one of the coolest master bedrooms in Saas-Fee. Finished with old wood, this large room boasts an open fire place that goes through to the huge ensuite bathroom! Furthermore, there is a desk and work station in this room, perfectly setup for working away from home.
There is an additional double bedroom on this level with a seperate bathroom with bath and shower.
Open plan living with high ceilings, a luxurious kitchen and plenty of seating for the whole family in front of the most important winter feature, the log burning fire.
We did the rounds whilst looking for this property. We initially looked in the likes of Verbier, Zermatt, and Villars, but after hearing good things about Saas-Fee we decided to take a look.
After we viewed the property in its shell like state, we knew we had to have it. The location is just sublime. Although it is a little further out of the village, the views more than make up for it. And with our kids being a young age at the time, we found the car free nature of Saas-Fee, and especially this area of Saas-Fee to be incredibly safe which was a major bonus for us.
Being able to buy a property of this size and standard in a safe snow sure resort, instead of a dated apartment in the likes of Verbier, was a no-brainer for us.
